The meeting turned out to be fruitless. Half those invited to attended did not do so, leaving on my ally and his advocate to stare blankly at each other for a time, discussing things which had already been discussed and reaching no real conclusion. None were suprised.

I downloaded and played with Winamp3 for most of the day. I now have a teeny tiny Winamp on my desktop. It makes me feel important.

For the sake of convenience, I'm renaming my two allies. The one who had the meeting will henceforth be known as DEATH. The other will be WISDOM.

Today DEATH and I were cleaning up a few cubes and found some papers left over from an ex-contractor. We discovered some very interesting e-mail printouts illustrating a conversation between this contractor and another contractor.

One married female contractor to another married male contractor.

Who just became a father.

Just when you thought things couldn't get any more interesting.

No updates yesterday, apologies. Busy, and burning with a desire to leave work on time and attend the war council over pasta.

The other manager began to speak to me again today. It was very strange, given a week and a half of forceful shunning. It's a pity that I'm so mistrustful. A pity, but much more interesting.

Within an hour, my aforementioned ally faces a triumverate consisting of a guilty party (though not the most guilty party), an advocate, and a supposed neutral party. The jury remains out what positive can be achieved, but barring unemployement, corporate culture won't allow it to become too much worse.

I await with much interest the outcome of this meeting ...

When officers begin to talk quietly amongst themselves, the general has lost the confidence of the army. --Sun Tzu, The Art of War

One of my allies was coached by his agency yesterday on professionalism. Requested by the same people who, previously, have responded to our concerns with "What-EVER!" We obviously have differing employee handbooks.

Our first meeting as a group was scheduled for Monday. It was subsequently cancelled by a manager due to the chaotic natures of Mondays and non-commitally rescheduled for Tuesday. There has been neither hide nor hair of a meeting today. Obviously consistancy between the management team is of lesser importance than staring at a monitor all day.

Today I ate a cup of 33 cent cheese ramen noodles. It was the high point of my day.

It doesn't take long to set the tone for the week. The following has been edited to protect the guilty, but the content remains unscathed.
